Is a produce box cheaper than the supermarket?

Usually not for conventional produce; often yes for organic. The saving comes from wasting less: you eat what arrives instead of buying on impulse.

Produce box or CSA?

A CSA is cheaper per pound and fresher, but you pay up front for a season and get what the farm harvests. A produce box costs more and lets you choose and skip. If a CSA farm delivers to your town, try it for one season first.
